Sharon takes a swipe at fellow judge Dannii

Sharon Osbourne has taken a swipe at fellow 'X Factor' judge Dannii Minogue, saying: "She's there because of her looks."
Osbourne now has to share the limelight with the younger star on the ITV talent show and there have been reports of behind-the-scenes tensions.
She told Graham Norton on his BBC2 chat show: "She knows she's there because of her looks, not because of her contribution to the music industry.
"She's younger, she's better looking, Simon wants her and he doesn't want me - thank God!"
Osbourne also said she was upset at last week's result, which saw dinner lady Niki Evans lose the public vote.
"It was such a travesty that Niki got the boot. I felt she was what the show was about - she hasn't really had a break in her life, she represents every working mum in the country, and they boot her off," Osbourne said.
The winner of the show is a foregone conclusion, according to Osbourne, who said: "Of course he's going to win."

Green Day - Green Days Alter Ego Plays First Gig

American rockers GREEN DAY have played their first official gig in three years, under the guise of their alter egos the FOXBORO HOT TUBS.

The group performed at Juanita's Cantina Ballroom in Little Rock, Arkansas, last night.

Lead singer BILLIE-JOE ARMSTRONG disguised himself with a big mop of curly blonde hair, a faux fur jacket and a mass of chains and necklaces, reports NME magazine.

He introduced himself as the Reverend Strychnine Twitch as he declared the "official kick-off" of the FOXBORO HOT TUBS' tour.

The band played all 13 of their songs, including RUBY ROOM, BLOOD SAX AND BOOZE and RED TIDE and several covers, including THE WHO's A QUICK ONE WHILE HE'S AWAY.

Armstrong praised the crowd's enthusiasm, saying: "For a town called Little Rock, there's been a lotta rock here tonight!"

The group will be playing more shows over the next eight days.

GREEN DAY admitted that they were also the FOXBORO HOT TUBS back in December 2007, after the new band's website began offering free downloads of tracks.

The group's first physical release is expected today.

Amy Winehouse - Winehouse Arrested Over Drug Offences

Troubled singer AMY WINEHOUSE has reportedly been arrested over drug offences.

The 24-year-old star is currently being questioned at a police station in East London.

It is Winehouse's second brush with the law in as many weeks; The Back to Black hitmaker was accused of headbutting a man outside a North London pub on 23 April (08) and later turned herself in to authorities. She escaped with a caution.

Winehouse - who has faced a long and public battle against drugs and alcohol - checked into a rehab clinic in London in January (08) after a video showing her allegedly taking a variety of illegal substances was passed on to British newspaper The Sun.

She was also arrested, along with her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, in Bergen, Norway last year (Oct07) on suspicion of possessing cannabis.

Winehouse was issued with a $714 (GBP357) fine, which she accepted, not realising that paying up is the same as pleading guilty in the Scandinavian country.

Tearful Day-Lewis pays tribute to Ledger

Daniel Day-Lewis paid an emotional tribute to late actor Heath Ledger during an appearance on the 'Oprah Winfrey Show' yesterday.
The actor's eyes filled with tears as he spoke, via satellite, of his regret on learning of Ledger's sudden death on Tuesday.
Day-Lewis, who was on the show to discuss his Oscar nomination for 'There Will Be blood', said he felt "strange" talking about anything else.
"There isn't anything to say other than to express one's regret to his family and his friends and to say from the bottom of one's heart...that I'm sorry for their trouble."
The actor continued: "I didn't know him. I have a strong impression I would have liked him very much, as a person, if I had."
He added: "I had already marvelled at some of his work. And looked forward to the work he would do in the future."
Day-Lewis prayed Ledger's loved ones would be left alone to grieve, saying: "This is going to be something they are going to be living with for the rest of their lives."
